i can't count how many times i've read Little Women. i think the first time i read it i was in 2nd or 3rd grade (maybe in 1st grade?).. and loved it. in elementary school, we had this program called Accelerated Reader & throughout the year, you would check out books & get points for what you read. the longer/bigger/more advanced the book, the more points you got. so i would always read books that were like 300 pages long & would read them so quickly. so every year, i read Little Women. the book reminds me a lot about Pride & Prejudice & it's kind of along the same lines.
as a teenager, i remember my mom getting mad at me for reading my books so quickly. we would go to the bookstore just about every week & i would get a few books at a time. and be done in like 3 days! i usually would read one in about 4 hours. one day, she came into my room & looked at all my books & said "you read them so quickly, you need to slow down. i bet you don't remember what half of them are about." so we sat in my room & i went through book series or books & told her just about what every one talked about. i think i proved her wrong. ;-) heehee!
so yea, i like to read when i get a chance!

do you still read that much?
i used to read a ton alllll the time like you, but since i have grown up and had to work and do all my wifely duties and such i have gotten away from it. i still read, but it takes me a couple weeks to get through one book.
melissa, i don't read as much as i would like to! i'm hoping that once life slows down a little bit, i can get back into it! and it does take me a few days now to get through a book!
